Highest Taxi Fares
Taxi fares for Beijing is the lowest in the cheapest among international cities. Survey shows that Tokyo had the highest taxi fares in the world the China Daily reported on 23 Sep 2014.
International cities highlighted by the daily are a per table below.

My Comments
Cabs are mostly used for emergencies and special occasions in many Western countries. In China, it is a mode of transportation that some may use on a regular basis.
